Property and Evidence

The Sonoma State University Police Department is responsible for the secure collection, storage, tracking, and disposition of all property and evidence obtained by the department. This includes items related to criminal investigations, safekeeping, and found property requiring evidentiary control. Our priority is to maintain the integrity of evidence, ensure a proper chain of custody, and safeguard all property in accordance with California state laws and departmental policies.
