Crime Prevention
The majority of crimes on campus are crimes of opportunity. The most common items reported stolen are bicycles, backpacks, skateboards and unattended clothing in laundry rooms. Items most commonly stolen from vehicles include backpacks/duffel bags, purses, jewelry in plain view, and even parking permits. Keeping your valuables with you at all times, or securing them in your room, car trunk, or the lockers provided by areas such as the Student Center, will reduce the chance of your valuables being stolen. It is highly recommended that you lock your bike with a sturdy U-Lock rather than a cable lock. Report any suspicious activities to Sonoma State Police immediately.
